Joe Penny on Front Sight Firearms Training
Video Transcription:
I’ve been an actor for about twenty eight, thirty years and done a lot of detective series. Riptide was a particular show. A real popular show in the eighties, early nineties was called Jake and The Fat Man. I’ve done a lot of stuff with guns. I had a pretty good understanding of what guns were about from growing up and shooting a little bit. I was one of those guys that felt that guns were good for me but maybe not good for the average Joe, you know what I mean. But I have to tell you that looking back on it I’m a little bit embarrassed about my ignorance about the whole situation.
It’s like Dr. Piazza says, that until you come to Front Sight and you see what they have to offer, you just don’t know what you don’t know. It’s that simple. I mean … and he’s right, I’m living proof. The instructors who are giving the instruction are so specific and so detailed and so on track, it so makes sense. There comes a confidence on just the physicality of shooting a gun. Understand what I’m saying, there comes a confidence in your life in other areas. In your relationships with other people, there comes a confidence in your workplace, in your relationships in business. There comes a confidence in just knowing that you know how to handle yourself. You have the capability of being able to do that. There’s an angst that tends to go away. And it also happens in other areas of your life.
I think every law abiding American, red bloodied American citizen should get down here and take these courses. I just don’t think you could find a better establishment. I’m just really happy to be here. I’m a very fortunate guy to be able to be here.
It’s not the movies — this is the real deal.
