Held on weekends, Handgun Skill Builder is the follow-up course for those students who have completed the Two Day or Four Day Defensive Handgun and are looking for a convenient and intensified two day course that will continue to improve their shooting abilities and bridge the gap between their present level of skill and the skills required to move comfortably into our Advanced Tactical Handgun Course or Handgun Combat Master Prep_℠ course. An excellent course for those students working toward a Graduate or Distinguished Graduate certificate in Front Sight's Four Day Defensive Handgun, but who don't have the time to repeat the entire four day course. Also a great course to tune up your skills if you haven't been seriously practicing as much as you would like since your last visit to Front Sight.

The entire weekend is spent on the range, as this course has no lecture material or tactical simulators. Emphasis is placed on fine tuning your gun manipulation skills and greatly improving your marksmanship. With completion of this course, you can expect to drastically reduce the time it takes you to draw your weapon and deliver a controlled pair of shoots and single precision shots. All training is done from a concealed holster under time pressure. Distances vary from arms length to 35 meters. A skills evaluation is performed at the end of the course for Graduate or Distinguished Graduate certification.

Held on weekends, this action-packed course is only open to Graduates of Front Sight’s Four Day Defensive Handgun Course or Handgun Combat Master Prep_℠ course.

Designed for those who understand the importance of keeping one’s weaponcraft skills sharp, the Tactical Pistol Course provides the advanced training needed to keep the law enforcement officer and private citizen highly tuned and ready to handle the most challenging armed confrontations. In every course you can count on the range drills to focus on the tactical aspects of close contact shooting; shooting and moving; shooting on the move; shooting moving targets; shooting from cover; shooting from improvised positions; shooting from vehicles; precision shooting at distance; low light shooting and night shooting.

In addition, you will complete seven different, live-fire tactical simulators — three of which are run at night — and a Distinguished Graduate Skills Test. The tactical simulator scenarios change each course so you can conveniently attend the Two Day Tactical Pistol Course a few times per year to keep yourself in top form and always experience new and challenging scenarios. All training is done from a concealed holster. Due to the one-on-one instruction required in the live-fire tactical simulators, class sizes are kept small.
